Here is a sinister piece of trash.  While picking up a shattered bottle, volunteers realized they were collecting the pieces of a Molotov Cocktail.  Double click on this photo if you don't know what a Molotov Cocktail is.
Is an electronic dog fence trash?  Probably so when it extends across public property and what is supposed to be a protected riparian buffer.
The tires shown below were reported to the Fairfax County Health Department on 6/3/2003.  There are three piles totaling over 100 tires, and they are prime breeding habitat for culex pipiens, the mosquito that carries West Nile Virus. They should be removed immediately.  Note too the abandoned white truck and also the old flatbed trailers in the backround. UPDATE - all of this mess was gone by May, 2004.
