| The photo on the left shows the main channel as it continues upstream from the fork shown on Page 12. The photo below shows the upstream dividing point of the fork shown on Page 12. Note the beaver dam that stretches across the entire creek. The flooding resulting from heavy rain on 12/13/02 caused the breach in the dam. A dead baby beaver (kit) was found on the trail on the far side of the photo in August 2002, not long after the beavers constructed this dam. The cause of death could not be determined. |

| The photo below shows the beginning of the sizeable pond that the beaver dam creates. This pond is a fairly decent place to fish, but is hard to get to because of steep banks on one side and a boulder-strewn shore on the near side. Blackberries grow in profusion along the trail on the far side of the creek. | |||||||||||||||||||||
