As you work your way upstream in this section, you come upon a very old concrete bridge, visible in the second picture behind the leaning tree. The third picture shows the bridge from the south side of the creek. If you look carefully, you can still see the old road that once crossed it. Do you know when this bridge was built? Did this road have a name? Photos read left to right, top to bottom. |

The old bridge is made out of steel-reinforced concrete, so it was probably built in the 20th century, but maybe not. |

The photo below left, taken from the old bridge, reveals an erosion barrier washed in from somewhere upstream. Nevertheless, this part of the creek is fairly clean. |
