| At this point in the virtual tour, we are no longer going to post photos showing a linear foot by linear foot depiction of Little Rocky Run. Instead, we will just post the highlights of each section. (If you want to see the detailed photo record, contact me via email). This section begins at the "fake" Wetland on the east side of Stringfellow Road. Even though this wetland is man-made, it appears to be thriving. The picture at top left shows one of the largest beaver dams on the entire creek. It has been there for over a year. The picture to the immediate left is the beaver's lodge. The photo below left is about 100 yards further upstream at a power cut. The upper end of the photo used to have a large beaver dam (remnants shown directly below, hump behind hydrant) that the authorities tore down for reasons unknown.. |
