| This short section of channelized creek sets the record for junk in the Little Rocky Run watershed. Not only are there a few hundred piled up tires, there is, believe it or not, an abandoned bus. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| These tires, looking dark and sinister on a cold and rainy day, are a health hazard and should be removed before mosquito breeding season. They are located at 13617 Leyland Drive. UPDATE! These tires were all removed by April 2003. |

| This abandoned bus is going to be a nightmare for someone to haul away. It is right across the creek form the tire pile. How did it get here? One could speculate that it was towed in to serve as a home for someone. Before the developers showed up, this part of Fairfax County was full of ramshackle homes and poverty. Whoever lived here was almost certainly living on the financial edge of human existence. Who is responsible for hauling it away? It probably has a VIN number somewhere on its frame. Ownership can be traced. |
