Mike Shipley and Ned Foster removed this canoe from the wetland area along US 29 on 4/4/2010. Someone decided to dump it here. It had several holes in it that can be repaired. It will be salvaged and is now in the hands of a local conservation group. |

A little investigative work revealed that these trees, painted white after being cut down probably from these very woods, were then used by a nearby resident for Christmas decorations. The trees were set in concrete in the orange buckets. After the Holidays they were dumped in the woods. Sigh. |
